Certified Safety Professional  for Scientific Expertise Support in Cincinnati, OH

This position supports the goal of achieving safe and healthy workplaces by incorporating engineering concepts into facilities and processes that will eliminate occupational safety and health hazards from manufacturing processes, construction sites, hand tools, service jobs, etc.  Ideal candidate will be trained in engineering (civil, mechanical, chemical) with and possess safety experience. Will conduct research involving integration of occupational health and safety goals into design - build - start-up of work facilities, processes, equipment and products.  Develop guidance for systems safety management and engineering techniques, including facilities and processes in support of managing health and safety risks associated with advanced technologies.  Provide practical solutions involving safety standards development and interface with safety and industrial hygiene programs. Will require excellent written and oral communication skills. Occasional travel. maybe needed.

Special Requirements: Certified Safety Professional is desired but may be replaced by similar experience.

This is a contract position located at Government owned facilities in Cincinnati, OH. Generous compensation and benefits package.  Position starts July 1, 2010
